On Facebook

TimeTap provides an easy solution to put your web scheduler directly on Facebook. If you’re interested in having a Book an Appointment link on your Facebook page, follow the instructions below to get it installed:

1. Make sure you are logged into Facebook and have Administrator access to the Facebook page you wish to add the scheduler to.

2. Go to https://apps.facebook.com/static_html_plus

3. Click on "Add Static HTML to a Page" button

4. Facebook will then ask you to select the page you wish to add the Book an Appointment tab to. Select the page from the dropdown and then click the “Add Page Tab” button:

5. Once you select the page and click the Add Page Tab button, navigate to your page on Facebook:

6. From your page’s “About” bar click the More dropdown and select the “Welcome” option that appears:

7. This will open up the HTML tab on your page. Click on the “Edit Tab” button to enter into Edit Mode:

8. You will enter into the edit mode for the tab which is where you will paste in the code for your scheduler. The next step is to login to TimeTap and grab your scheduler’s embed code. Open up a new tab on your browser and navigate to TimeTap’s Login Page. Once logged into TimeTap, go to Settings > Scheduler Rules & Logic

9. On the right hand side you will see the “Embed Options” and underneath that the code for “Embed on another Website”. You will want to customize this code so that the width of the box is 700. Once you’ve customized the width, click the “Copy to Clipboard” button:

10. Once you have the code copied, go back to the tab you have open on your browser from Facebook where you will be editing the tab. Scroll down to where you see the editor for index.html. Delete the text is in that box and hit Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac) to paste in the embed code you copied from TimeTap:

You may see a red message appear after you paste in the code from TimeTap saying that the url you are trying to embed is insecure. Not to worry. All you need to do is put a “s” after the “http” in the URL and that message will go away:

11. After pasting in the code and adding the “s” to the url, click the “Save & Publish” button in the top right of the window:

12. Your scheduler is now on your Facebook page, but the tab will still have the title “Welcome”. You can change the title to something a bit more relevant by clicking on the “Settings” option from the window you’re on:

13. Scroll to the bottom of the “Settings” tab and change the Tab Name from “Welcome” to something like “Book Now!” and press “Save tab name”:

14. After changing the name, you can scroll to the top and click “Done editing tab” in the top right to close the window:

And that’s all there is to it folks! Now you’ve got a web scheduler for your fans to make appointments with you right from Facebook. Check out how it looks by going to your page and viewing that tab:
