The ability to tip is a commonly expected feature for service based businesses. By adding tipping functionality to invoicing, tips can be more easily requested, accepted, and reconciled/accounted for while using TimeTap.
Sample use cases for tipping when paying invoice:
Home services
e.g. Home cleaning service books appointment. Service is performed. Tip is left as part of payment after service is completed.
Salon & spa services
e.g. Salon books a hair appointment. Service is performed. Tip is left as part of payment after service is completed.
Dog walking/pet care
e.g. Pet groomer books a grooming appointment. Service is performed. Tip is left as part of payment after service is completed.
Photography sessions
e.g. Photographer books a photo session. Service is performed. Tip is left as part of payment after service is completed.
Educational service (swim lessons, golf lessons, music lessons, tutoring sessions)
e.g. Swim teacher books a swimming lesson. Service is performed. Tip is left as part of payment after service is completed.
Car services – detailing, shop work, etc
e.g. Mobile detailer books a car wash/detail. Service is performed. Tip is left as part of payment after service is completed.
Fitness services / private training
e.g. Personal trainer books a coaching session. Service is performed. Tip is left as part of payment after service is completed.
Tipping on the Payments Settings in a Service Profile
(NOTE: this feature is only enabled for LumaPay integrated accounts)
You can turn on the Tipping feature for a Service in particular by:
Navigating to Settings > Services & Classes
Click “View” next to a Service Profile with a Price set
Click the “Payments” tab from the left menu
Now you can see the “Allow Tipping” option for this Service
