Switching Security Roles for Staff

Currently there are two security role options defined for Liberty Mutual accounts:

  1. Liberty Mutual Security Permissions: this is the default for all reps that have been added
  2. Liberty Mutual Security Permissions - Location Group Access: this was added after a need for grouping locations was identified (learn more here)

If, for instance, a rep needs access to Location Groups but is current assigned to the security level of "Liberty Mutual Security Permissions", you'll need to switch him/her to the "Liberty Mutual Security Permissions - Location Group Access" security level. Follow the steps below to do this:

Step 1: Login to TimeTap

Login to TimeTap using your username and password combination at https://backoffice.timetap.com.

Please note: If you are a general administrator (like Marty Walsh or Carolyn Mitchell) you'll want to click the "Login" button next to the child account that you are logging into to add the staff to.

Step 2: Go to Settings > Staff to see your list of staff

You'll see under your list of staff all of your staff currently on your account and what security level they're set to:

Step 3: Click into the staff's profile using the "View Details" button

From your list of staff, find the staff whose security level you'd like to change and click the "View Details" button to the right of their name:

Step 4: Edit the staff profile's Overview section

Once in the staff profile, you'll see the option to "Edit" the "Overview" section. Click the blue Edit button to turn on edit mode:

Step 5: Change the security role and click save

Once in edit mode, simply change the user's security role to what you want to set it for and click the "Save" button in the top right:


Important note

If the staff that you've assigned to a new security level is currently logged into TimeTap, they'll need to log out and log back in in order for the changes to take effect.
