Setup Guide

When you first logged into to your account, you likely walked through (unless you skipped) the Setup Wizard! That is a great tool in that in provides a preview into how adding availability, locations and services will typically look like within TimeTap. Once completed, you'll be taken to the Setup page on your account's Dashboard. The Setup Guide provides a list of recommended tasks to help guide you through the initial setup of your account. We want to set you up to get the most out of your account with us. This page touches on what those steps are and what they mean in order to get you comfortable (then confident) with the software.

The Quick Setup Guide is composed of multiple areas which will help you:

  • Setup Staff to accept appointments
  • Setup Locations where you offer appointments
  • Add your different appointment types
  • Book test appointments
  • Customize the web address for your scheduling page
  • Customize the look & feel of your scheduling page
  • Add clients to your account

Now, what do these steps mean?

  1. Setup staff to accept appointments - You won't be able to add additional staff (known as representatives) to your account per se, but if you expand that text box you'll see it will allow you to click a link to edit your staff profile. There you can ensure that your information is correct (i.e. phone number, email, name, etc.).
  2. Setup locations where you offer appointments - This will show you a list of all the locations you currently have added, give you access to edit the profile of any of those (giving you the ability to edit its address, name, etc.) or even add a new location that you offer appointments or a seminar at.
  3. Add your different appointment types - This will show you a list of all the services & classes you currently have added, give you access to edit any of their profiles (giving you the ability to edit its description, name, etc.) or even add a new service, seminar or course.
  4. Book test appointments - This steps allows you book a test appointment so you can see what your current scheduler looks like from a client-facing perspective. You get to see what it would look like and experience the flow they would see as it currently stand before sending it out externally.
  5. Customize the web address for your scheduling page - With Nationwide you aren't able to edit this web address specifically, but this is a good page to access your URL at anytime when you wish to send it out to clients. Your URL will always be available here to access (or even copy and paste).
  6. Customize the look & feel of your scheduling page - Same as the section above, for consistency above representatives, Nationwide already customizes your scheduling page for you, but you can use this section to access your client-facing scheduler here at anytime.
  7. Add clients to your account - This is where you can see how many clients you currently have added to your account, as well as add a single client to your account or even upload a client spreadsheet.

On the right, you'll see a few different sections, let's review those as well.

  1. Account Setup Progress: This progress bar tells you how many more you have left to complete the basic setup guide. You're able to take appointments right after your complete the setup wizard, but if you would like to customize TimeTap to fit the needs of your business we recommend you take time to go through each step of the setup guide.
  2. Plan Information: This section tells you that you're on the CA Nationwide Enterprise Plan, nothing to do here - you're all set!
  3. Scheduling Page: This the URL where your client can book appointments with you using the mini-website. You won't be able to update this URL specifically, but you can update your staff-specific URL from your profile (you can see details on how to do that by going to your staff profile).
  4. Embed Scheduler: This code can be use to embed your business' scheduler in your website and allow your client to book appointments without having to leave your site.
  5. Getting Started Guide: Here you will find a link to our video guides on how to get started using TimeTap and if you prefer you can click the link go to our written getting started guides.
